Be weary…I took my 2017 Outback in for an oil change a couple days ago. When I picked it up I was inquiring about cleaning the airflow censor in the engine since the fuel efficiency gauge (on the dash) was acting up a bit. They said next time I’m in they can plug it in for a diagnostic for $275. I called Dick Hannah and proposed the same situation, they said just to plug it in and look for error codes was FREE. Staff were friendly and helpful. I was in for a service recall. I had a nice chat with the young gentleman about getting the car serviced, although I don't think he was my assigned service advisor. I mentioned a tire pressure sensor light but I guess that did not get passed on and I am surprised the service tech did not say anything about it. We did have a comfortable place to sit, and do a little work. There is a nice coffee shop about two blocks away with food and pastries.

Colton was super nice, easy going and kept me up on the time required. I waited in the lobby, such a nice comfortable safe place to stay, and Colton checked in with me a couple times. Each time I go in for service, and even when we bought the car, everyone is friendly, professional and gives off warm and caring vibes.
This is the second Forester I have purchased from Bud Clary Subaru. The reason is because of the excellent customer service in the service department. Claire and Colton always greet me by name and keep me posted on the status of the service. Service is always efficient, and they keep me updated if there's a problem. The cost is also a factor in me using the dealer. $199 for 3 oil changes, tire rotation, car wash and vehicle inspections are very reasonable, and knowing they are using OEM parts is a plus! I have never had a bad experirence there!

I had a nearly $9,000 transmission replacement performed here on my 2015 Subaru Outback. After the repair, independent inspections found that the vehicle had been returned with multiple unsecured components related to the work, including loose suspension bolts and other hardware.
A subsequent inspection by Subaru of Portland documented additional workmanship issues and stated in writing that these conditions would have been unsafe if left uncorrected.
I provided this documentation to the dealership. While they acknowledged that the workmanship issues were unacceptable, they declined to refund or otherwise meaningfully remedy the transmission replacement.
